Frequently Asked Questions

In what ways can I support Emanuel University?

We support Emanuel in 3 ways - Prayer, teaching and financially. This site is totally self funded and no funds will be used in any manner other than direct support of Emanuel University, the students or the teaching effort there.

What are the needs (what will the money be used for)?

Emanuel University is about 50% dependant on outside funding to support the costs of operating the school. The students do not have the means to pay enough in tuition to cover all the expenses. For example, the electric charges are over $200,000 per year. That despite heat only being on at night in the winter (the students and staff wear coats to class) and hot water for showers is only on between 6AM and 8AM - all to keep electric costs down.

How can I donate?

Donations are made directly to a U.S. 501(c) corporation that supports Emanuel University and are generally tax deductible (we are not offering tax advise). Your check will be your receipt. Donations can also be made using a major credit card - just click on the donate button at the top of this page.

What role does the US teaching team play at Emanuel?

The US teaching team currently goes twice per year and teaches a full 24 hour accredited course with a combination of live classroom lectures and distance learning in between the live sessions. Current courses are Entrepreneurship (Launching New Ventures), Foundations of Selling (Customers for life) and Foundations of Financial Management. Additionally, we are assisting in the newly formed Masters program teaching Financial Accounting and Organizational design and analysis.

How many students and faculty are there?

There are currently about 100 students in the business college. Theology has about 300 students with 4 disciplines (Seminary, Music, Social Services and Literature).

Do the students pay tuition?

The tuition is approximately $3000/year, with the average family income being $300/month. Most students pay about half of the tuition.

Do the students pay for meals?

The meal plan includes 2 meals per day and costs approximately $50/month. Many students have a difficult time even paying to get the full meal plan. This is one of the areas that support will be used based on identified needs.
