Ken Calhoon

Ken started in the insurance industry in 1977 as an agent with Equitable Life. He started his own agency in 1980 and built it to an award winning company. In 1986 he joined Universal Guaranty as Vice-President of marketing. Since 1991 Ken has run a marketing firm providing services to financial professionals throughout the state of Florida.
After graduation from Youngstown State University with Degrees in Finance and Accounting, he completed programs at Purdue University and many industry related courses. Ken is a Chartered Life Underwriter and Fraternal Insurance Counselor.
Ken and his wife Candi have lived in Oviedo, Florida for 17 years. They have four children and just recently had a great addition to their family with twin grandchildren.
Joseph A. Takacs, Jr.

Joseph has been in the tourism and hospitality business for the past 34 years. His background includes the management of hotels and resorts, golf courses, restaurants, timeshare and condominiums. He has extensive background in the start-up and continued long term success of management, rental and sales for timeshare and condominiums.
Most recently he was the President of Vacation Resorts International; a privately held timeshare condominium management company with over 135 locations throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. He was responsible for the growth of client contracts which ultimately made VRI the largest non-public timeshare management company in the United States.
He holds an MBA from Anna-Maria College in Boston and is currently licensed in 19 U.S. states as a Real Estate Broker as well as a Community Association Manager (CAM) in Florida. He also holds a Registered Resort Professional (RRP) designation from the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). Joseph has served on numerous Boards of Directors for resort and condominium associations dating back nearly 25 years.
Mr. Takacs recently formed his own company, TheMVPService, an LLC that specializes in services to timeshare and condominium associations. Those services include national purchasing, renovation and sales financing and resale of units.
Joseph has been married to Dana 21 years and has 4 children; the first of which is attending North Greenville University.
Teaching Team
Bob Berry

Bob was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His parents were Southern Baptist missionaries in Brazil for over 30 years. Bob has a BA in Business Administration and a BA in Religion from Ouachita Baptist University, and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also a Certified Business Administrator through the Southern Baptist Church Business Administration Association.
Bob has been in the ministry since 1984, serving in the areas of administration and education in various churches. His primary responsibilities have been accounting, facilities management and personnel administration, as well as Bible teaching and training leaders. He is currently Minister of Missions at First Baptist Church of Oviedo, Florida.
Bob has been married for almost 30 years to his wife Diane, and has two children. Amanda is 21 years old and is soon entering Pharmacy School. Andrew is 14 years old and a 9th grader at Hagerty High School in Oviedo.
Tom McLaughin

Tom has helped create and grow several successful companies in the past seven years including the Jordan Development Group, a Florida based real estate development firm and most recently Mind Storm Labs, a game production company. He is currently the VP of Sales & Marketing for the Jordan Development Group where he is focusing on opportunities for growth and expansion of the company in the Central Florida development and construction industry. He is the President of Mind Storm Labs and is responsibly for the growth and overall operations of the company.
Tom was born in Canada but currently resides in Orlando Florida with his new bride Jessica.
Tom McLaughlin received his BA (honors) in sociology and psychology and a graduate degree in information technology from the University of New Brunswick, and his MBA from the Brisbane Graduate School of Business. During his studies at Brisbane, he specialized in International Business and Entrepreneurship. He has recently published research a paper on the topic of international intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship in the "Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development". His online marketing strategy for Mind Storm Labs first product, Alpha Omega, will be featured in the next edition of McGraw-Hill Higher Education's university textbook, "Introduction to Business".
William "Bill" Franklin Spivey, Jr.

Over the past 18 years, Bill has had a diverse experience in both City Planning and Public Finance (last 4 years) in both the private and public sectors. This experience includes financial feasibility modeling and pro-forma analysis, the development review and entitlement process, bond financing, geographic information systems (GIS), and marketing.
He is currently President of JEC Advisors, Inc., a financial advisory firm that specializes in capital and facility improvements planning for charter schools, non-profit organizations, municipal governments, and development companies utilizing the bond market.
Prior to starting JEC in 2006, he was an Investment Banker with D.A. Davidson & Co. from 2003 until 2006; City Planner with the City of Lake Mary, FL (1999 to 2002) and Marketing Director/Planner for Bridge & Slaughter LLC in Oxford, Mississippi (1997 to 1999). Other positions included consultancy work for Byrd, Forbes and Associates and the City of Sanford, FL with a variety of GIS, project management, planning, engineering, surveying, and other projects (1988 to 1997).
Mr. Spivey has a BA from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is currently licensed with a Series 7 and Series 63 General Securities License. Bill has been married to Sylvia 13 years and has 2 children. He enjoys playing basketball, soccer, volleyball, and is a 2nd degree Black Belt in Karate.
David Witter

Serving the financial needs of his clients has been more of a passion for David rather than a career. Licensed broadly in the financial planning, securities, and insurance industries, he helps people plan their family's future. Through professional Continuing Education for his licensing and Certified Financial Planner™ designation, he continually stays abreast of the latest planning techniques and professional standards. David serves clients of various ages with differing degrees of financial wealth, but specializes in portfolio income, distribution, and retirement planning.
As an Investment Advisor Representative, David provides independent, objective guidance to his clients. He also utilizes his Wealth Coaching Approach helping investors avoid blunders that often inhibit wealth and instead leads them down the path of disciplined, purposeful and confident investing. David seeks relationships based in mutual trust to partner with clients navigating the financial maze.
As a member of Ed Slott's Elite IRA Advisor Group™, David stays current with the latest tax laws, IRS rulings, and distribution planning strategies providing clients with tax-efficient income distribution plans. David works with clients to protect their retirement savings from confiscatory taxation to allow taxdeferral during their lifetime and for at least another generation.
David has lived in Oviedo with his wife Elizabeth for eight years. He teaches Retirement Planning Today and Lifetime Income Strategies for Valencia Enterprises, a Division of Valencia Community College and Business Finance at Emanuel University in Romania. He frequents the Winter Park YMCA where he is an Executive Board Member and volunteers for the Youth Scholarship Campaign. When David is not delivering workshops and teaching across Central Florida, he enjoys water skiing, swimming and collecting postwar era Lionel electric trains.
Welton James

Welton A. James is an Education Counselor with the Online Trading Academy and a Vice President & Licensed Mortgaged Broker with Best Mortgage in the Orlando Florida area. Prior to moving to Florida in 2004, he served as the Executive Director of Quality Assurance and Service for the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He joined that industry as a Bellhop, carrying luggage and worked his way up to become the Service Director for a 5000 employee, 2000 room luxury hotel/casino. Welton's father was a coal miner and Welton was born in a one room house in a coal mining camp. Being born into a family of hard workers molded his mindset and has shaped his values.
Welton has been married for over twenty years and has two sons at home, a college student who plans to study film and a new high school student and football player. On Sunday he can be found at First Baptist Oviedo leading the Greeters Ministry and once a month leads a dedicated team as part of a Prison Ministry. He loves to carry a message of hope and encouragement to young people and is a passionate public speaker. Collecting and listening to Bebop Jazz albums from the fifties and sixties continues to be his hobby of choice.
Cammie Sasser

Cammie Sasser is a Senior Practice Advisor with Atticus, Inc., one of the nation's leading practice management education and training organizations for attorneys. Cammie has more than 15 years of experience in public accounting, including regional and national firms. She also worked in private industry as a Regional CFO for a public company. This experience allows her to provide a breadth of advice to her clients. Cammie still holds her CPA license in the State of Florida. Working solely with attorneys, she especially enjoys helping attorneys realize their financial potential, build championship teams and market intentionally while having fun. In order to “keep in touch” with the current generation, she teaches adjunct at the University of Central Florida.
Cammie received both her B.S. in Business Administration in Accounting and her Master of Business Administration from University of Central Florida and has served on and or held positions with the following organizations: President, Anthony House; Member, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accounts; President, Orlando SERTOMA and various Treasurer positions.
Jessica McLaughlin

Dr. Jessica L. McLaughlin began working for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center in July of 2000. She interned with Lockheed Martin, Eastman Kodak, and United Space Alliance before coming to NASA. Her career with NASA has been with the Shuttle Processing division and the Orbiter Project Office. She works as a Principle Fluids Engineer with concentration in Environmental Controls and Life Support System, Fuel Cells, and Purge, Vent, and Drain System.
Jessica has been involved in Industrial Engineering projects to improve safety in and around the orbiter. In addition, Jessica has helped facilitate human factors issues into new building designs, participated and helped facilitate process improvement teams and has helped reduce the potential for back injuries during orbiter main engine processing. Her efforts have focused on improving processing time through enhanced orbiter modifications and process improvements. Her main interests are human error, process improvements and team performance.
Jessica's past efforts have focused on Orbiter low energy fluid systems such as air, water and Freon systems. These systems support crew life and activities, cooling of avionic systems, and provide necessary commodities to the main engines. She was involved in review of Orbiter requirements and constraints, hardware certification, and changes to vehicle hardware.
Her current assignment is in the extravehicular activity (EVA) office at Johnson Space Center where she is responsible for the soft goods on the suit. She is involved with the certification of flight hardware for use on space walks and ensuring the suits are available on time and within budget scope.
Jessica received her Doctorate degree in May, 2007 from the University of Central Florida in Industrial Engineering. She completed her Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering in May 2002.
Jessica was raised in the Central Florida area where her family still resides. Jessica and her husband now reside in Houston, Texas.
